We are passionate about discovering new ways to lessen our ecological footprint, overcome sustainability challenges, and do our part to help others and protect our future generations. Therefore, we have partnered with sustainability experts to lead us and expand our current efforts in the areas of social, environmental, and economic responsibility. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Medi is committed to giving back through global support efforts and partnerships. At our Bayreuth headquarters, we work with the organization, Diakonie, to assist people with disabilities, illnesses, immigrants, and others in need. Our nonprofit, Medi For Help, provides sustainable aid in crisis areas, supporting medical care, training, and education. Projects in Haiti include rehab, wound care, and clinics for Lymphatic Filariasis and prosthetics.

With 2,700 employees worldwide and 1,800 jobs in Bayreuth, Germany alone, medi is one of the most important employers in this region in Germany. ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
At CEP Running, environmental responsibility is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by using sustainable materials, minimizing waste, and supporting eco-friendly manufacturing processes. Our goal is to empower athletes while protecting the planet, ensuring every step you take is a step toward a greener future.
OEKO-TEX® CERTIFICATION
Since 1997, all of our products have been tested and certified to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, ensuring they are free from harmful substances and safe for skin contact. We use environmentally friendly yarns and selected colorants low in harmful substances, which can be safely released into wastewater. This certification is renewed annually, reflecting the latest scientific and regulatory standards.
FSC-CERTIFIED / RECYCLED PACKAGING
It’s no secret that packaging made from plastic is damaging to our environment. To avoid this damage CEP uses packaging made almost exclusively from FSC certified cardboard. FSC certification ensures that our packaging comes from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economical benefits.
DURABLE PRODUCTS
At CEP, durability isn’t just about performance- it’s part of our commitment to sustainability. Every product is built to last, reducing the need for constant replacements and helping to counter the impact of fast fashion. By focusing on quality and longevity, we extend the life of each piece, giving the planet more time to recover the resources used to make it.
SUSTAINABLE RESOURCE USE & CLEAN PRODUCTION
We’re committed to conserving resources and reducing microplastics. Our heat recovery system preheats incoming water using residual heat, cutting gas use. We minimize rinse water and recycle boiler steam to lower consumption. Solar panels at our Germany site power production with renewable energy. To reduce microplastics, we use durable filament fibers and gentle manufacturing to preserve material integrity.
